We carefully consider each referral on an individual basis, always respecting and promoting equality and inclusion.
We welcome families from all backgrounds and take into account a wide range of factors, including gender, culture, religion, age, sexual orientation, mental health and any physical or learning needs.
We are open to working with parents who are currently or have previously misused substances, as long as they are engaging with the appropriate support services, such as substance misuse or mental health professionals.
In some cases, we may not be able to accept a placement – for example where there are significant concerns involving violence, arson or sex offending behaviours. In these situations, a Psychological Assessment may be required before a placement can be offered.
If any of these issues are identified, relating to a parent or a child, we will need to seek advice from our insurance provider before proceeding with the application.
